Italy's 20 wine regions differ dramatically, with many wine styles and grapes. In this Italian wine tasting we take on a few of these regions and travel from north to south.
We taste, for example, deluxe bubbles from Lombardy, firm and elegant wines from Piemonte, rich wines from the wonderful Valpolicella valley in Veneto and finish on the island with its smoking volcano, Sicily. We go through history, anecdotes, grapes, production methods and suitable food.

We begin with luxurious bubbles from Lombardy, continue to Piemonte where firm and elegant Barolo and Barbaresco reign, then dive into Valpolicella's rich and flavourful wines from Veneto. Finally we reach Sicily, where Etna's smoking volcanic soils give us powerful and unique wines.
