Champagne tasting in Stockholm

From grand champagne houses to small growers

Champagne is one of the wine world's most fascinating subjects. We go through styles, regions and producers, from classic houses to surprising finds, and sort out what makes each champagne unique.

The tasting

Champagne, more than a toast

Champagne is not just a celebration wine; it is history, craft and stories in every glass. Behind every bottle is a producer, a philosophy and a region with unique conditions, from chalk-white cellars in Épernay to small growers where the family does everything by hand.

In the champagne tasting we taste, compare and talk about what makes each style unique. We sort out the differences between vintage and non-vintage, blanc de blancs and blanc de noirs, and explore what defines an exclusive cuvée. We go through wine history, grape varieties, production methods and suitable food.

Perfect for those who want to understand why champagne is so much more than a toast at dinner.

Styles

The many expressions of champagne

During the tasting we explore several styles. Here are some of the types you may encounter.

01

Blanc de Blancs

Only Chardonnay. Elegant, mineral and with fine acidity. Perfect as an aperitif or with fish and seafood.

02

Blanc de Noirs

Dark grapes - Pinot Noir and Meunier. Fuller and rounder. Excellent with food.

03

Rosé

Beautiful colour and fruity character. Can be anything from easy-drinking to complex.

04

Zero Dosage

Minimal dosage, high complexity. Dry, pure and often surprising.

05

Prestige Cuvée

The best from a champagne house. Luxury, precision and decades of experience. Perfect for special occasions.

06

Grower Champagne
